Job Description:
About the Role:
Join our team as a Category Inventory Planner at our corporate office in Oak Brook, IL. In this role, you will manage exit strategies for customer product transitions, graphic redesigns, packaging changes, and distressed or aged inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and execution of material requirements, ensuring material availability for production while effectively balancing working capital and warehousing constraints.
You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
- Serve as primary point of contact for the company when supply issues arise. Work with sales, planning, replenishment, customer service and various others to communicate action plans.
- Manage Product Lifecycle Management activity and discontinued products as they enter/leave our business. Ensure a positive transition for customers and departments within the company.
- Assist cross-functional communication on issues for label development of new labels, redesigned labels, packaging changes, formula changes, etc. to ensure expected customer service expectations.
- Communicate issues with forecasting – either purchases of significantly more or less than the forecast. Work with Sales, Demand Planning and Customer Service to get more accurate numbers in the system to allow for better customer planning and service.
- Work closely with scheduling and material planning to help to maintain targeted inventory levels
- Review underperforming SKU’s and partners with Sales/Marketing to improve efficiencies across the network
- Develop and maintain long inventory reports, and work on both root-cause analysis and disposition of inventory, as well as corrective-actions to limit future long inventory.
- Aids in the development of inventory entitlement plans and tracking performance against plans.

- The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $61,900 to $92,900 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An
