Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Texas Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving role combines customer service, clear communication, and sound judgment to support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following applicable armed post procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, receiving locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, report suspicious behavior and policy violations, and document incidents according to site requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with store management, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
