The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Holman is currently looking for a Senior Accounting Technician to join the Vendor Management Team!

What will you do?

  •  Manage the retail vendor portal workflow.
  • Handle vendor issues for retail locations.
  • Send notices to vendors regarding any terminations/acquisitions/moves for retail locations.
  • Provide documentation for vendors, risk, etc.
  • Provide portal status updates and work closely with legal, procurement, and infosec to vet and onboard vendors.
  • Find synergies and savings to contribute towards profit maximization through account analysis, vendor reviews, and contract renewals.
  • Assist in analysis and tracking of profit protection project initiatives.
  • Assist with various projects such as unclaimed property, class action lawsuits, merchant processing etc.
  • Provide reporting and respond to requests from the various central service teams.
  • Communicate and assist A/P with vendor issues and cancellations to ensure adjustments are accurately reflected. 

What are we looking for?

  • Associates degree or a demonstrated equivalent experience as determined by department manager
  • Experience and aptitude in utilizing complex Excel spreadsheets, database, and financial application software is required.
  • Must have strong leadership, time management, and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to comprehend full cycle accounting, company processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, organizing files and data alphabetically and numerically, and the ability to guard highly confidential and sensitive information. 
  • Maintain open and productive communication with the dealerships, central service, and the Holman Garage.
  • Detail oriented, flexible, team player that collaborates well with others.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Develop relationships with leadership
