Maintenance Technician - Rotating 1st/2nd Shift

About the role
Job Summary
Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems throughout the facility; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various high-leveled maintenance tasks throughout the facility with the ability to work independently and efficiently to ensure timely production processes.
Expected hours of work 40 hours a week with a varied shift schedule 8-10 hours shifts with occasional overtime and weekend hours. No travel required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance
- Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect
- Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of
- Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or
- Record production, repair, and machine maintenance
- Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or
- Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate
- Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
- Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work
- Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
- Adjust, install, fabricate, and make modifications of equipment to maintain or improve safety and quality of operational conditions or equipment efficiency.
- Comply and participate regulatory, Carlisle, And departmental policies, procedures, and standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS)
- Troubleshoot control systems, servo drives, motors, HMI’s and
- Calibrate controls
- Maintain and enhance electrical and PLC
- Provide training to Maintenance technicians I & II as
- Articulate to vendors/engineer’s machine issue to resolve technical
- Handle and audit preventative maintenance
- Other duties as
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape
- Knowledge of various hand and power
- Prior experience operating a
- Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized
- Effective communication and problem-solving
- Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing
- Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful
- Have boiler operator certification or ability to obtain boiler
- Working knowledge of electrical codes including NEMA, (NFPA 70E, Arc Flash)
- Industrial electrical AC/DC troubleshooting skills, including ability to utilize electrical instrumentation (megohmmeter).
- Complete knowledge of all plant equipment (level III).
- Ability to use hand& portable tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP).
Education and Experience:
- Required:
- Education – High School diploma or GED required or technical
- Three to five (3-5) years related maintenance
- Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler.
- Mechanical background with rotating Hydraulic and pneumatic. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
- PLC
