Your Responsibilities:As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make immediate contributions to the organization as you:

  • Develop and maintain Cassandra/Oracle NoSQL clusters in a multi data center setup
  • Develop testing framework to deploy and maintain Cassandra/Oracle NoSQL clusters
  • Document process and building playbooks to be used by other teams
  • Work with internal teams to configure and improve performance
  • Implement Cassandra/Oracle NoSQL standards and best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience deploying and maintaining NoSQL cluster
  • Familiarity with tools and process for Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and SaltStack
  • Comfortable analyzing complex problems at all levels of the stack, on both client and server (OS, Network, JVM, Storage)
  • Java/Python experience is a plus
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience is a plus
  • Passion for testing and high-quality code
  • Strong communication skills. You should be able to convey technical detail in clear and simple terms to a variety of audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills. You will need to analyze, diagnose, and resolve unexpected behavior in complex, distributed systems
  • Experience building, testing, and maintaining cloud systems written in Java or Python (or other scripting language)
  • Interest and enthusiasm for new technologies that can be applied to large-scale cloud systems

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
