Your Specific Responsibilities:
This independent work includes analyzing, developing, and assisting in administering public record policies, practices, methods, and procedures to ensure the Division of Medical Quality Assurance complies with Florida’s Public Records statute and administrative rules.
Coordinates responses to public record requests in accordance with Chapter 119, Florida Statutes using the department’s web-based public records management system, GovQA. Assign, escalate, manage, and track public records requests, deadlines, and costs. Perform quality assurance review of any public record response released by the division using a standardized methodology. Formulates recommendations to solve problems discovered and prepares reports of findings.
Applies operations research techniques to arrive at solutions regarding policies and procedures for handling requests for public records. Assists Office of the General Counsel and the division’s management to conduct major complex record studies.
Assists management in the installation of new methods, procedures and management techniques that are the result of implemented recommendations for improving public records policies and procedures.
Assist supervisor with training division staff on public record policies and procedures such as workflow and quality control.
