Director Global Trade Compliance

We are looking for you to join us as a dedicated and experienced trade compliance professional. As Director Global Trade Compliance, you will support the creation and maintenance of a globally applicable Trade Compliance program which ensures that BioNTech meets all legal and regulatory export and sanctions requirements.
 
Your primary responsibilities are:

 

• Build a global trade and sanctions compliance program including policies, procedures, and IT tools as needed 
• Ensure the company’s compliance with global export and sanctions laws
• Develop practical solutions to incorporate trade compliance requirements into the company's business processes
• Organize and provide trade and sanctions compliance training and maintain training records
• Ensure strong collaboration with all relevant internal and external stakeholders 

 

What you have to offer:

 

• Law degree, BS/BA degree in International Trade or comparable
• 6+ years of experience in global trade compliance
• Knowledgeable of global trade regulations, export administration regulations, anti-boycott regulations, sanctions administered by EU trade regulation, US export control and sanction law
• Strong system skills relating to Trade Compliance and screening solutions (e.g. MIC, SAP and SAP GTS)
• Extensive professional experience in a dynamic Global Trade environment
• Customer oriented with a service mentality
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in English and German; other languages welcome
