POSITION SUMMARY-

Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of patient care related to the cardiac, medical surgical and ER environment.  Provides direct and indirect patient care to neonate through geriatric patient age groups.  Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department.  

RESPONSIBILITIES-

• Provide direct patient care in an emergency setting.
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on severity.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform life-saving interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Prepare patient for transport to higher acuity setting if necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of ER experience.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
