Sr. Software Engineer

The Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure is seeking an experienced software engineer to help us build a highly scalable, cloud native configuration service. Multiple layers of configuration settings from hardware t-shirt sizing to customer specific application customization come together to build, deliver, and run Oracle Health applications. This is a greenfield opportunity to design, build and operation an integral component of our healthcare modernization and automation journey.

Qualifications

8 plus years of Java, Ruby, or Python, REST APIs, and databases

Experience designing, building, and maintaining hyper scale, cloud native applications a plus

Experience with configuration management systems a plus

Strong SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, SCM experience

Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. 

Experience with software testing, debugging, and quality assurance processes.

Jenkins experience a plus

US citizen is a plus

Key responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain the full stack (front-end and back-end) of the configuration service.

Collaborate across the team and organization on features and functionality. 

Writes correct, secure, maintainable, robust code and appropriate tests.  Document code, processes, and software functionalities for knowledge sharing.

Improves the team on engineering practices, ops practices, development process, ownership, mentoring.

Identify gaps in existing processes and suggest changes.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
