Reporting to the SVP of Sales, The Senior Director of Enterprise Sales is responsible for leading and managing a team of Account Executives to drive revenue growth within the 10,000-30,000 EE employer space. This includes developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, establishing relationships with key clients, and providing guidance and support to the sales team. Additionally, the Senior Director of Enterprise Sales is responsible for analyzing market trends and customer needs to continuously improve sales performance and drive business growth. This is a full time, remote opportunity on our team. Occasional travel will be required for in-person customer meetings and team events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with the company's overall objectives and revenue goals.
- Lead and manage the sales team, providing mentorship and guidance to help them meet their individual and team goals.
- Collaborate with other departments (such as marketing, Strategic Alliances, Clinical Sales, and product development) to ensure that the sales team has the necessary resources and support to effectively hit their targets.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and use this information to inform future sales strategies.
- Maintain relationships with key clients and partners, and actively seek out new business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain a strong sales culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and a focus on achieving results.
- Partner in developing and managing the sales budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet sales targets and support business growth.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for new sales techniques or technologies to help the company stay ahead of the competition.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance (forecasting, pipeline health, etc) and present these to senior management, providing insight into key metrics such as revenue, customer acquisition, and market share.
What success looks like:
- Exceeding overall team sales quota on a quarterly and annual basis
- Achieving high breadth of performance across the sales team (e.g., majority of AEs meeting or exceeding quota)
- Consistently meeting or surpassing pipeline generation targets required to attain quota
- Increasing win rates and reducing average deal cycle time
- Driving high levels of team engagement, retention, and performance
What we expect from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in benefits and/or healthcare
- Experience managing a large and diverse sales team
