Business Developer / Originator - Renewables Energies

Wood is recruiting for a Business Developer / Originator to join its Energy Assets & Development team focusing on solar, wind and storage projects. This is an opportunity to join one of the Italian most established renewable energy Project Development teams and help develop renewable energy assets. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role
The Business Originator will support the project development team throughout the development lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will assist in identifying new project opportunities, support negotiations, and aid in securing necessary permits. They will engage with external stakeholders (such as law firms, landowners) and internal teams (including legal and finance) to ensure project alignment with company objectives.

- Assist in the origination and development of renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate new opportunities.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
- Support negotiations and finalization of contractual agreements.
- Contribute to financial model preparation and project feasibility assessments.
