THE OPPORTUNITY:
As the Senior Corporate Communications Program Manager, Social Media & Influencers, you will play a key role in developing and refining the larger strategy to enhance the OpenText brand identity across social media platforms (both corporate, regional and product specific). This is inclusive of the development of a strategic engagement strategy for key industry influencers that matter to our business objectives.
This position involves planning and executing initiatives to meet strategic and functional objectives including cross functional areas of the organization.
YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:
· Partner with leaders and colleagues across the organization utilizing best practices as well as industry and OpenText data to ensure a strategic approach to content development, creativity and cross-channel distribution
· Lead the full development and execution of the plans for corporate/business unit/industry/regional social media channels and related content development
· Streamline social media and content development processes to ensure maximum efficiency, awareness and ROI
· Research and track key industry influencers relevant to the business and provide engagement recommendations accordingly
· Manage all influencer engagement in partnership with the OpenText analyst relations team to optimize engagement and opportunity
· Create and maintain a master content calendar across all channels, platforms and engagements being managed
· Brainstorm and implement ideas for new types of campaigns and content to increase following and engagement across key channels
· Work collaboratively with communications team and business units on creative assets including but not limited to, graphic design, videos, written content and influencer engagement
· Monitor, analyze and report on social media metrics regularly
· Manage relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external content creators and/or agencies
· Work closely with the OpenText internal communications functions to build employee engagement and amplification
YOU ARE GREAT AT:
· Switching between highly strategic thinking and tactical execution
· Developing multi-channel distribution plans that include social media, owned (blogs), earned (PR) and paid (content partnership) to promote and amplify content thereby maximizing our online presence, brand awareness and executive visibility
· Coordinating content-centric programs for corporate-wide as well as business unit/industry specific stories and campaigns, including executive thought-leadership, corporate and business unit narratives, Tier 1-, 2-, 3- and third-party events and branding, and global campaigns
· Collaborating with corporate and product/business unit communications team(s) to promote executive opinion and thought leadership across owned, earned and paid media
· Extending the content life cycle of content including customer stories, whitepapers, media coverage and more
· Researching, reporting, analyzing, and utilizing metrics to guide decision making
· Designing and implementing content strategies to align with business goals
· Actively contributing to the employee advocacy program to ensure broader – company broader engagement and wide-sharing of content
· Staying ahead of the market and suggesting/implementing new programs and corporate/business unit campaigns to develop brand awareness
· Staying up to date with current technologies (such as AI) and trends in social media, design tools and applications
WHAT IT TAKES:
· 7 – 10+ years of experience in social media and influencer program management and content development, with proven ability to manage and execute with key success metrics
· Self-starter comfortable working across teams and functional groups
· Hands on experience with social media publishing, measuring and content creation solutions
· Excellent social writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
· Ability to manage and deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
· Excellent communication, analytical, organizational and project management skills
· Current knowledge of all major social platforms – inc. LinkedIn, X, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, and others at the regional level (to be confirmed per OpenText policy)
