The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a key member of our Performance Testing Team, you'll design, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks, troubleshoot complex SQL queries, and enhance our testing infrastructure. You'll collaborate across engineering teams to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring a seamless and scalable experience for our users. As a Performance Engineering Software Engineer Developer in Test, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

How you will make an impact

  • Develop and maintain Jenkins jobs to enhance automation workflows.
  • Build tools and frameworks for automated performance testing.
  • Execute and report performance, load, and stress testing results.
  • Troubleshoot slow SQL queries and optimize system performance.
  • Identify and document bugs, anomalies, and system inefficiencies for resolution.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields AND 5 years of experience with Software Development and Performance Engineering OR High school diploma/GED and 9 years of experience with software development and performance engineering

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance & Development related to performance testing.
  • 5 years of experience with object-oriented languages and principles (.NET, C++, or Java).
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with Python, JMeter and Selenium scripting on Linux, Windows, and cloud-based technologies
  • 2 years of working experience with any APM tools (such as Dynatrace or New Relic for diagnostics)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s degree in computer science from an accredited institution
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD processes, with 2+ years of GitHub and Jenkins experience.
  • Familiarity with Blazemeter, structured test automation scripting, and RDBMS like Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Agile development experience and ability to lead technical discussions.
  • Strong analytical skills to pinpoint performance issues and optimize applications.
  • 3 years of experience writing library and web APIs for testing automation framework
  • Leads or participates in cross-organizational initiatives
