Corian® Design North America Business Analyst

Role Definition:

The Corian® Design North America Business Analyst supports the Business Manager and North American distributor partners by running and maintaining various business processes and systems.  This role is integral to ongoing financial reporting, forecasting, customer data management (through Salesforce.com), and tracks distributor performance against key metrics.  In addition, the business analyst manages a small number of direct accounts that purchase off-grade or discontinued products in North America.

The key responsibilities of the Business Analyst are: 

  • Running and maintaining the ongoing financial outlook processes.  This involves gathering data from various people and systems on a weekly or monthly basis and organizing it to allow the commercial director to make informed decisions about the financial outlook.  The analyst leads a weekly review of the data and follows up on issues that arise from the discussion. 

  • Collect customer forecasts and provide aggregate inputs to the demand team.  Work with partners at all our distribution partners to collect forecast data on a bi-monthly basis and transform this data into an input into the demand planning process.  This includes tracking meaningful changes to the forecasts, the reasons for those changes, and reporting the accuracy of each distributor’s forecasts.

  • Coordinate processes to maintain customer databases. Partnering with our IT teams, be the commercial focal point for customer data and our customer relationship management systems.  This includes troubleshooting issues with data entry by distributors, coordinating data cleanup activities, and maintaining the customer certification process.  

  • Monitor distributor performance. The Business Analyst will be responsible to gather and analyze data on distributor performance in the areas of sales to market, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage direct customers who purchase slow moving inventory.  The business transacts with a small number of companies that purchase our limited grade or special grade (off spec) materials.  The business analyst is the primary point of contact for all issues besides placing orders.  This includes making sure that these accounts are approved to buy products directly, have signed contracts in place, and managing the distribution list for customers in this program. 

  • Partner for continuous improvement. Leverage data analytics to highlight opportunities to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement in the organization. The role will have the opportunity to partner with marketing, specification development, and sales leaders in the business on an ad-hoc basis to drive key business priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or Marketing Preferred)
  • At least 2 years in a commercially focused role (sales, customer service, marketing, product management, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with ability to collect and analyze data and communicate insights effectively
