Clinical responsibilities include patient care in computed tomography, diagnostic radiology, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, CT/PET, and ultrasound, with an emphasis in body or cardiac imaging preferred. Additional responsibilities include teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, contribution to weekly interdepartmental clinical conferences, quality assurance and continuous process improvement, engagement in academic and research activities, and assigned administrative duties. All UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
Seattle Children’s is a 407 bed medical regional center; over 136,000 pediatric imaging examinations per year are performed across all modalities within the Hospital and associated outpatient clinics. Successful applicants will join our 20 pediatric diagnostic faculty, 3 pediatric interventional radiologists, and 3 advanced practice providers, participating in the ongoing education of 4-5 fellows and 6-9 residents. We are a quaternary care, multidisciplinary pediatric hospital with all our exams interpreted by dedicated pediatric radiologists. There are opportunities to subspecialize in various areas that align with individual interests, including nuclear medicine, cardiac, fetal, body, neuroimaging, and musculoskeletal imaging. We also have work-from-home options for many services, with each faculty member provided with an at-home computer with diagnostic monitors. The institution is committed to clinical and research excellence, and pediatric radiologists are encouraged and supported in clinical and basic research efforts. Compensation and fringe benefits are competitive.
The base salary range for this position will be: $36,276 - $47,689 per month ($435,312 - $572,268 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations.
This position is incentive eligible through the physicians practice plan, which has historically ranged from about $20,000 - $70,000 with a median of about $45,000 over the past two years, in addition to the base pay. There are also opportunities to perform additional clinical work for extra compensation, receiving a productivity supplement in addition to the aforementioned base salary and incentive pay.
Compensation provided by Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. In addition, currently there is a generous annual educational fund of $5,000 to support academic work, including purchase of books, computer equipment, and software subscriptions. These funds may also be used for membership dues, and to pay for meeting expenses such as registration fees, travel, and lodging.
