Position Summary

The Item Specialist of Digital Merchandising is a key member of the digital merchandising team, primarily responsible for the implementation of our merchandising strategy on CVS.com.  They will play a critical role in shaping the customer experience across our website, working with the Digital Merchandising Manager for their assigned categories. This position is instrumental in delivering the best products and experience to our customers by using strong critical thinking skills and an analytical approach to visual merchandising strategy of the site. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions and enhance our omnichannel experience.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the day-to-day execution of onsite collateral for the CVS.com website, inclusive of product content, weekly on-site promotional offerings, item setup/maintenance activities, asset proofing, design strategy and UX. The Item Specialist must be aware of best-in-class site merchandising strategy across retailers and be prepared to advocate and influence internal and external stakeholders for site improvements based on competitors and internal data.  

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge/skill/ability: 

  • 2+ years’ experience in onsite merchandising, digital product management, or related field, especially in a consumer-focused, multiple product category e-commerce sites 
  • Experience in onsite merchandising, digital product management, or related field, especially in a consumer-focused, multiple product category e-commerce sites 
  • Regular and reliable attendance during normal working hours, as established by the leader. 
  • Any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager. 
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience 
  • Travel- Ability, and willingness, to travel regularly, 10% of time, based on needs of the business.

  • Plan and execute short- and long-term goals. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in onsite merchandising, digital product management, or related field, especially in a consumer-focused, multiple product category e-commerce sites 
  • Experience using Adobe analytics or a similar site analytics platform.  
  • Experience in Agile Framework for product development  
  • Demonstrated ability to understand not only business KPIs and initiatives, but also possess a deep understanding of the technical backend
