Job Description
Temporary HS Chemistry Lab Researcher
Assist in the synthesis of organic materials used in the production of terahertz (THz) generating crystals. Support the optimization of crystal growth techniques using a variety of crystallization methods.
What you’ll do in this position:
- Synthesize organic compounds under supervision for use in THz crystal production
- Assist in developing and refining crystallization techniques
- Operate lab equipment and maintain a clean, safe workspace
- Record observations and assist with data collection and basic analysis
What qualifies you for this role:
Required:
- Introductory High School Chemistry Classes
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Willingness to learn laboratory techniques and follow safety protocols
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
Preferred:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to keep accurate lab notes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions or seek guidance

Pay Grade: 48
Typical Starting Pay: Depending on Experience
