About the role

Under the general direction of Director of Clinical Operations - Medical Specialties for Providence Medical Group INWA, the Sr. Manager-Laboratory Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the technical divisions of the Providence Medical Group (PMG) laboratory. This position provides overall guidance and direction to the PMG Laboratory and undertakes projects that meet the strategic laboratory needs of Providence Medical Group. Represents PMG laboratory technical operations on the WA/MT Regional Laboratory Council. Serves as first line of contact for PMG Lab leaders, Providence Medical Group division and clinic managers and supervisors technical division managers on operational issues. Resolves staffing issues, OT and related payroll questions, provides scheduling advice for supervisors.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Graduation from an approved School of Medical Technology
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists
  • 8 years in an ambulatory or care health setting
  • 8 years experience in an increasingly responsible position in a clinical laboratory setting
  • 8 years Supervisory or Management experience in an ambulatory or acute health care setting

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Laboratory Science, Health Science or Health Administration

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
