SAPS - Faculty Associate - User Experience (UXP) - AY2025-2026 (162910)

Description

The School of Applied Professional Studies in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University invites applications to join our teaching pool for User Experience Faculty Associates for the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in user experience; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in user experience, technical communication, human factors, human-centered design, human systems engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution at time of appointment.
• Teaching or training experience.
• Commitment to advancing ASU’s Charter and Design Aspirations.  ASU Charter
• Three years’ professional experience.

 Desired Qualifications:

• PhD in in user experience, technical communication, human factors, human-centered design, human systems engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution at time of appointment or a related field from one of ASU’s peer institutions or similar.
• Two years’ post-secondary teaching or training experience.
• Experience developing and/or managing curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to teach in digital environments.
• Five years’ professional experience.
