Security Officer – Full Time

Location: Downtown Colorado Springs, CO

Rate: $16.50-$17.00/HR

Available Shifts:

• Mon, Wed, Sat, & Sun: 11PM - 7AM - $17/HR 32 Hours Per Week
• Sat & Sun: 7AM - 3PM - $16.50/HR 16 Hours Per Week
• Mon - Thurs: 7:30AM - 5:30PM - $16.50/HR 40 Hours Per Week
• Fri - Tues: 3PM - 11PM - $16.50/HR 40 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions:

• Checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, and mechanical problems.
• Conduct access control duties such as badge scans and denying entrance to unauthorized visitors. 
• Respond in accordance with post orders to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and appropriate use of force is required in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Monitor cameras, operate computers, and handheld devices.
• Conduct internal and external foot patrols.

Position Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older 
• High School Diploma or GED Required 
• Standard computer / technology skills needed
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
• Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal / written communication
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus
• Customer service background preferred 
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
• Must be able to conduct internal /external foot patrols throughout shift during various weather conditions
• Must have great attention to detail 
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties  
• Colorado Driver's License and a clean driving record required due to mobile patrol requirement
• Must be comfortable working with the community at large
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet Colorado Springs Guard Card licensing standards
• Must work well in a team environment and be able to maintain professionalism with the public, co-workers, client, and management
