About You:
- You stay on top of trends in the medical/scientific community
- You are a master in delivering a range of medical services including researching and developing content
- With a keen eye for detail, you can accurately convey complex information in a simple way
- Naturally curious, you are a life-long learner and have an interest in health and medicine
- You are passionate about providing medical insights, supplying creative ideas, and developing high-quality content that allows you to use scientific/medical knowledge and demonstrate your writing skills
- Working independently is your strong-suit, but you also enjoy working cross-functionally
What You Can Expect Day-To-Day:
- Serving as medical point person on assigned accounts
- Developing and writing medical content for multiple and wide-ranging therapeutic areas
- Adding value to current project quality and client needs by demonstrating technical expertise of assigned therapeutic category areas
- Developing credible content for a full range of deliverables (manuscripts, slide presentations, advisory boards, posters, strategy guides, monographs, etc.)
- Reviewing medical content for scientific accuracy and appropriateness
- Providing medical insights and contributing original ideas during brand planning and strategic development meetings
- Leading discussion of medical content with pharmaceutical clients
- Working closely with all internal teams (account, creative, and editorial) to create content that meets the objectives of strategic imperatives
- Attending medical, legal, and regulatory review meetings
- Executing aspects of administrative responsibilities (time sheets, project timelines, creative manager) in a detailed and timely manner
- Participating in all job-related meetings, including project kick-off meetings, weekly status meetings, and team meetings
- Contributing ideas for brainstorming sessions and participating in new business proposals
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD or PhD preferred)
- 4+ years in medical communications, healthcare agency, medical education, or similar field
- Ability to translate complex scientific concepts for a variety of managed care audiences
- Ability to prioritize projects, juggle competing client priorities & meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Flexibility to meet the demands of a dynamic environment
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel for occasional client meetings
- Managed care experience preferred
