Your responsibilities

 

The Short Term Trading Solutions department in Uniper IT is responsible for all changes in IT Systems supporting the Uniper short term dispatch process. The department consist of Project Managers, Business and System Analysts who are responsible for delivering large scale transformational Projects as well as small scale Business As Usual items for Power and Gas.  

 

Within this department we are searching for a Senior Project Manager coordinating multiple initiatives, Business As Usual items and Projects primarily for the Gas area. 

 

• Actively Initiate, Plan and Execute projects using different methodologies fitting to the individual tasks and providing full transparency throughout the lifecycle of the item 

• Manage diverse project teams of internal and external business analysts, system analysts, developers and testers 

• Coordinating the Project with and for internal IT Teams, external Vendors, System Integration Consultants and other external and internal Partners 

• Own the overall Roadmap consistent of multiple activities to drive the change forward 

• Being the Business Partner for the Gas area in combining a high degree of interest in the Business Process together with the necessary IT Solutions capabilities 

• Ensure overall consistency of solutions and smooth transition into operations 

• Taking care of the full lifecycle of Change from budget planning, initiation, team organization towards execution and closing 

• Actively promote knowledge sharing and build-up of internal IT expertise and skills 

• Identify best practices, implement new tools and technologies, and develop project management methodologies that enhance project performance 

 

  

Your profile

• Academic degree or equivalent professional qualification with at least 5 years of professional experience 
• Hands on experience in a Project Management role, with direct involvement in large sized IT implementation projects
• Certification as Project Manager like PMP®, Prince is a plus
• Experience in Commodity Logistics(Power and Gas), Dispatch, SCADA, Scheduling, Nomination is a plus 
• Ability to work both independently and within a team in combination with the strong desire to accept responsibility 
• Strong analytical and structured way of thinking, high organizational skills and IT affinity with the ability to present complex topics targeted to the audience 
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in order to facilitate workshops and conflict resolutions 
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, proficiency in German or other languages is a plus
