Job Description

As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Team in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for clients and visitors. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while your communication skills and customer service will support smooth daily operations. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist employees and visitors with directions and information as needed, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site personnel to address security-related issues and uphold site policies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
