The Director will have a range of responsibilities related to advancing teaching and co-curricular activities related to the Center for L.I.F.E. (Leading the Integration of Faith & Entrepreneurship). This includes executing the strategy and tactics related to teaching and co-curricular activities of the Center for L.I.F.E. It includes actively engaging with stakeholders related teaching and co-curricular activities inside and outside of Miami University, including partners, other universities, and funding organizations. This includes the oversight of all operational issues related to teaching and co-curricular activities, as well as active engagement with the faith and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Finally, this includes the management of Assistant and / or Associate Director(s) related to teaching and co-curricular activities. This position is approved for full time remote work in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Texas.Job Description
Duties and responsibilities of the position include:
Advancing current and new initiatives related to teaching and co-curricular activities;
Building and executing current/new events such as a teaching conference;
Increasing engagement with Miami alumni and donors related to L.I.F.E.;
Managing external communications to relevant stakeholders related to teaching;
Executing the scaling of teaching and co-curricular activities related to faith and entrepreneurship;
Overseeing all activities and personnel for the ongoing development of L.I.F.E. related to teaching and co-curricular activities;
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
Master’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, religious studies or closely related field with 3 years of experience in business, entrepreneurship, religious studies or some combination, with experience and understanding of entrepreneurship and managing a new or growing enterprise (as demonstrated by coursework or professional experience; OR
Bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, religious studies or closely related field with 8 years of experience in business, entrepreneurship, religious studies or some combination, with experience and understanding of entrepreneurship and managing a new or growing enterprise (as demonstrated by coursework or professional experience)
Consideration will be given to applicants with qualifications that would enhance the applicant’s rating and would add to the competencies needed for the job include:
Master’s degree, Ph.D., D.B.A., or related terminal degree;
10+ years of business, entrepreneurship, management, religious studies, and / or higher education experience;
Experience in higher education;
Experience with faith and entrepreneurship ecosystem; and
Experience developing and scaling new organizations, programs or events.
Excellent written / oral presentation and organization skills;
Organization skills and attention to details;
Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends; and
Ability to travel.
