The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the R&D Operations (R&D Ops) team at Addepar. R&D Ops serves as an internal shared services team for coordinating, supporting, and optimizing how teams work within the R&D organization. The team’s mandate includes the following:
- Operationalize standards for the efficient execution of Initiative management
- Streamline the process for how work gets into the R&D Planning pipeline to lay the path for OKR fulfillment
- Provide guidance and governance on best practices for teams through standards and processes
- Surface R&D data in analysis and reporting
- Administer configuration of systems operations utilized by the R&D organization
- A team culture that values ownership, transparency, collaboration, and creativity

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.
The current range for this role is $136,000 - $213,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do
- Drive a portfolio of high-priority R&D Initiatives, including the creation and management of detailed plans and artifacts
- Lead strategic and tactical weekly cross-functional technical delivery forums across Product, Engineering, Risk and other key stakeholders, as well as monthly Steering Committee forums (SteerCos) with senior leadership
- Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to drive progress, facilitate collaboration, and remove obstacles
- Identify program risks and establish escalation process for facilitating “Return to Green” plan for initiatives that are off-track
- Flex technical expertise and emotional intelligence to align discussions to business outcomes; influence strategy and trade-off decisions to optimize impact and time-to-market
- Coordinate, design, and implement improvements to the quarterly R&D-wide Planning process
- Establish program management standards and best practices, including systems and tools
- Create a collaborative environment that values transparency, learning, efficiency, and creativity
- Standardize JIRA use and operating metrics across teams to drive consistent telemetry, while building velocity measuring tools to track initiative and OKR progress
