The Department of Information Technology & Operations Management (ITOM) in the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University is seeking applicants for an instructor position in Management Information Systems starting Fall 2024. The position duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, and other related courses.
Job description and expectations:
The successful candidate will teach departmental courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels; assist in curriculum development; possess a passion for working with the students. ITOM offers courses in several formats: traditional in-person lecture, lecture-capture/hybrid (mixed online), and fully online. Familiarity and/or interest in all three delivery methods is necessary. The successful candidate should also be able to teach these courses over any of our term formats, including traditional 16-week terms, fast track 8-week terms, and/or intersession terms and possibly on one of our FAU satellite campuses, such as the Davie or Fort Lauderdale Campus.

About ITOM Department: The Department of Information Technology and Operations Management's (ITOM) mission is to develop competence in information systems, business analytics, supply chain and operations management and related decision sciences disciplines for traditional and nontraditional students across the College of Business; to produce skilled individuals proficient in information technology who are able to contribute effectively to their organizations and communities in an ever-evolving technological environment; to engage in an active partnership with the business community; and to continually innovate and increase the quality of its educational and research activities in a manner that increases education effectiveness and global reach. The Department seeks to leverage FAU's south Florida location, which is one of the country's most dynamic areas of international trade and transportation. In addition, the ITOM Department has just launched two new graduate programs, MS in Supply Chain Management and MS in Business Analytics. The Department relaunched its PhD program in Fall 2022.
