About the Role
The Senior Manufacturing Operations Leader is responsible standing up the manufacturing of mondern oral nicotine pouches and for full operational oversight of a high-volume manufacturing environment consisting of approximately 200 employees. The role ensures safety, quality, production, and cost objectives are consistently achieved while aligning with Turning Point Brands’ culture, regulatory environment, and operational standards.
Essential Functions
- Lead daily manufacturing operations for a multi-shift facility.
- Drive safety culture ensuring compliance with OSHA and TPB standards.
- Oversee quality systems aligned with ISO9001 and TPB quality policies.
- Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and CI initiatives.
- Develop and mentor leaders, supervisors, and production teams.
- Manage workforce planning for ~200 employees.
- Track and report KPIs including output, efficiency, and downtime.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Manage departmental budgets, labor, and capital spending.
- Ensure compliance with FDA and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Experience leading 100–300 employees.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and production reporting tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and lead through influence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
- Experience in FDA-regulated or consumer products manufacturing.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or CI certification.
- Experience working within Turning Point Brands or similar regulatory environments.
