The Opportunity 

Glanbia Nutritionals is seeking a dynamic and innovative Technical Process Engineer to lead our technical support team. This role focuses on quality assurance, technological improvements, and process innovations to enhance our products and customer satisfaction. The Technical Manager will drive process improvements, ensure superior product quality, and provide excellent technical services to our marketplace. This permanent position will report to the Director Technical Services Specialty Ops and the duties and skills include but are not limited to the following; 

  • Lead and develop projects to enhance technology for high-value nutritional products.
  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally, ensuring specifications are met and evaluating new product feasibility.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to drive process improvement projects.
  • Enhance profitability through technology, innovative product development, and customer support.
  • Ensure seamless integration of product development into operations and facilitate Early Management activities.
  • Act as the corporate liaison with manufacturing locations, documenting and improving existing products and processes.
  • Manage and prioritize strategic projects, leading cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Implement and validate process activities, including new ingredients and production technology.

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in process improvement projects, process engineering, data analysis, or solids handling.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, drawings, and schematics.
  • Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with experience in Six Sigma or GPS methodologies preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and delegate assignments.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance with cGMP, GRAS, and HAACP.
