About the Role
Atropos Health is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Engineer to join our growing team. The Senior Sales Engineer role is an externally-facing role, responsible for working with the Sales team, specifically the SVP of Big Tech to demonstrate the value of Atropos Health’s solutions to Big Tech prospects & clients. The Senior Sales Engineer researches customers, understands their needs, and aligns Atropos Health’s solutions and services to those needs. They are responsible for the creation of presentation content, including demos, and will be integral to present the solution to customers during meetings.
The ideal candidate for this role has prior experience selling to, or working at, a Big Tech company (e.g., Google, Meta, AWS, OpenAI, etc.) in a healthcare focused division. The person has a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, data, technology, and analytical methods. This candidate must have extremely strong communication skills and must be able to clearly and concisely articulate complex ideas and concepts common to the healthcare industry. This person is expected to be a subject matter expert and must conduct themselves with poise, often pivoting in real time to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and engage potential Big Tech clients, understanding their unique needs and pain points.
Deliver compelling prospect-specific product demonstrations and presentations/materials that highlight the value proposition of Atropos Health’s products and services.
Serve as a technical resource during the selling process, addressing client queries and providing in-depth knowledge of solution capabilities.
Work closely with product management and engineering teams to convey customer feedback and influence product development, ensuring alignment with market demands.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and webinars to enhance awareness of Atropos Health’s offerings and expand professional networks.
Travel is limited but Senior Sales Engineers are expected to travel at least twice per year to company events. Additional travel is ad hoc and based on client meetings and conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this role.
Strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
Prior experience working with real-world healthcare data (EMR, claims, etc.) and deep knowledge of its advantages, shortcomings, and use cases is required.
Strong grasp of AI technologies and healthcare applications is required.
Pricing and contracting experience is a plus.
Demonstrated experience working with a sales team to coordinate an effective sales process.
Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with SQL is required. Additional coding languages (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
Prior experience working and proven aptitude in a startup environment.
An advanced degree in a clinical setting (e.g., clinical informatics, MPH, MD) is preferred.
5+years work experience in big tech, healthcare, consulting, or similar client-facing roles is required.
Reporting
The Senior Sales Engineer reports to the VP, Sales Engineering.
