PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

The Associate Director, Community Partnerships plays a lead role in building and deepening ADL’s relationships with key external constituencies, with a primary focus on interfaith outreach. This position supports additional areas of ADL’s national partnership and coalition efforts, such as conservative community engagement. The AD will lead ADL’s engagement with faith leaders, ideological allies across the political spectrum, and other civic partners to help advance ADL’s mission to combat antisemitism and extremism. The Associate Director coordinates closely with regional offices and national teams to execute effective engagement strategies and contribute to the development of campaigns and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Primary: 

 

• Lead ADL’s national interfaith outreach strategy, building and maintaining relationships with Evangelicals, and other Christian and religious communities committed to opposing antisemitism and hate.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for interfaith community engagement, developing authentic partnerships with ideologically diverse allies in support of ADL’s anti-hate agenda.
• Help grow and support the Community Solidarity and Safety Coalition (CSSC) and other ADL-led or aligned coalitions by coordinating outreach, strengthening partner engagement, organizing convenings, and supporting collaborative action around shared goals.
• Design and implement engagement strategies that connect diverse communities to ADL’s advocacy, education, and coalition campaigns.
• Organize and lead community-facing programming—including national events, roundtables, workshops, and speaker series—to strengthen mutual understanding and shared purpose.
• Support regional staff in adapting and executing outreach strategies in their local contexts; provide consultation and tools as needed.
• Represent ADL in national and regional coalitions, convenings, and public forums focused on faith-based, civic, or ideological solidarity.
• Develop and distribute outreach materials, talking points, and strategic guidance to support interfaith and other allyship.
• Monitor developments within faith and conservative spaces; advise senior leadership on trends, opportunities, and risks relevant to ADL’s work.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

 

• Demonstrated experience in interfaith outreach, community organizing, or strategic relationship-building with religious or ideologically diverse constituencies.
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and facilitation skills; ability to navigate politically or theologically complex conversations with nuance and respect.
• Excellent writing, project management, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with the Jewish community and the ability to speak credibly and confidently about antisemitism and ADL’s mission.

Work Experience:

 

• Significant relevant experience in community engagement, coalition-building, interfaith relations, advocacy, or a related field.
• Experience working with faith-based institutions and/or ideologically diverse political actors required.

 

Education:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.
