(Senior) On Product Performance Patterning Engineer for technology innovation
ASMLAbout the role
Introduction
If you are the one who takes ownership of a problem and turn its solution into an opportunity for both ASML and our customers, and if you can create a vision that also inspires others - THEN, the ASML Patterning Technology group is your ideal environment for personal development and professional growth!
Job Mission
As a Sr. Design Engineer you take ownership of a technical problem and turn its solution into an opportunity for both ASML and our customers. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with different competences and various professional and cultural backgrounds to realize products for customer use across the various lithography aspects.
ASML offers products that optimize lithography performance which are developed and integrated within D&E projects. One of the main key performance indicators (KPI) of lithography is the accuracy to which the intended structures are transferred to the final pattern. The main competency of the OPP Patterning Technology group is the holistic approach to control scenarios that combine knowledge of customer patterning schemes, imaging and ASML product solutions, linking customer patterning metrics to ASML product performance and in the end contributing to customer’s yield and profitability.
You will make use of the extensive Patterning domain knowledge to directly contribute to the long-term technology roadmap. By designing experiments in-house and working directly with our customers you develop a fundamental understanding of the contributors that drive on-product performance in the customer environment. You obtain new insights for scanner performance beyond the conventional KPIs as interdependencies with the customer fab ecosystem. Domain knowledge of customer on-product performance, control and scanner knobs are the key elements to drive your work towards relevant conclusions, innovations, advice and product development ideas
Role and responsibilities

Together with members from other knowledge domains you consolidate and develop control (model, algorithms) functionalities with scanner knobs (overlay, dose, focus, etc,)
Document and communicate your findings to your stakeholders and technical community.
Knowledge transfer of your findings, as well as means and methods to your peers, and contribution to the buildup of technical competence of your department.
Contribute to SF/FC/TC roadmap and drive study items
