Supervisor of Accounting

BASIC PURPOSE: Supervise the daily accounting activities for the retread plants and distribution centers of Love’s Truck Solutions (LTS).

 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make independent decisions and recommendations regarding journal entries, reconciliations and work paper analysis.
• Use discretion and independent judgment in developing enhancements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
• Enhance efficiencies through independent analysis of auditing of control procedures.
• Identify and assess potential opportunities for improvement.
• Interact with other departments and operations.
• Identifying staffing needs of the team and communicate those needs to management.
• Monitoring the productivity of employees, documenting performance and managing disciplinary actions, if needed.
• Monitor and assist with employee training
• Monitor and assist with daily / weekly / monthly employee duties
• Other duties assigned as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• Experience:
  • 5 years of accounting experience
  • CPA certification preferred, but not required

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Skills:
  • Hard skills: Knowledge in Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of SAP
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail orientated, self motivated, and a team player
• Typical Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
