Senior/Principal Product Manager, API & Integration Platform
Horizon3.aiAbout the role
Get to Know Us
At Horizon3.ai, we’re redefining the offensive cybersecurity space—and we need a forward-thinking, technically fluent Senior Product Manager to lead our API platform, integration strategy, and MCP server development. This high-impact role is central to enabling scalable integrations, extensibility, and automation across our product ecosystem.
You’ll work closely with engineering, platform architects, and customers to shape our developer-facing APIs, internal service interactions, and third-party integrations. This is a pivotal opportunity for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of developer experience, system architecture, and platform product strategy.
We’re looking for someone with a builder’s mindset, a strong technical foundation, and a track record of driving cross-functional execution. If you’ve led platform/API initiatives, owned integration roadmaps, or shipped complex backend products in a high-growth SaaS environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Own the API & Integration Platform Vision – Define and drive the strategy for our external and internal APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and ease of use for both internal teams and external developers.
Drive MCP Server Product Development – Partner with engineering to evolve our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server—focusing on orchestration, performance, and extensibility.
Lead Integration Strategy – Build and manage a portfolio of third-party integrations (e.g., ticketing, SIEMs, EDRs, SOARs, identity providers). Prioritize based on customer needs and strategic value.
Define Developer Experience – Champion a best-in-class developer journey. Ensure our API documentation, SDKs, authentication flows, and sandbox environments are intuitive and robust.
Work Cross-Functionally – Collaborate with Security Research, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate technical requirements into scalable platform features.
Translate Complexity into Roadmaps – Break down complex technical concepts into actionable plans. Prioritize and sequence platform enhancements to support both customer use cases and internal product needs.
Enable Internal Product Teams – Ensure APIs and internal services are reusable, well-documented, and built for scale. Partner closely with other product managers to drive alignment and platform consistency.
What We’re Looking For
You’ve worked at high-growth SaaS startups and know how to move fast without breaking things.
You’ve led API platform or integration product efforts at a SaaS or cybersecurity company.
You’re comfortable owning deeply technical products—APIs, servers, internal microservices—and working with architects and senior engineers.
You’ve driven adoption of APIs, SDKs, or integration frameworks by both internal developers and external partners.
You think in systems and platforms, not just features.
You balance user needs, technical feasibility, and strategic impact in every decision.
You excel at cross-functional collaboration and aligning product vision with technical execution.
You’re comfortable getting into the weeds—whether it’s in spreadsheets, dashboards, or user flows—and just as comfortable zooming out to set direction.
Required Background
6+ years of experience in product management or technical product roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity
Demonstrated ownership of API platforms, developer tooling, or integration ecosystems
Strong technical fluency—comfortable working with RESTful APIs, authentication standards (OAuth, SAML), and backend architectures
Experience partnering with platform, infrastructure, or backend teams
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product delivery in complex technical environments
Bonus Points
Prior hands-on development experience or a CS/engineering degree
Experience with agentic AI workflows and tools
Exposure to event-driven architecture, service orchestration, or middleware products
Background in cybersecurity, IT automation, or infrastructure tooling
Experience with developer platform metrics, SDK adoption, and community engagement
