Position Summary

The VP of Strategy, Markets, and Corporate Development will be a core member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping the company’s strategic direction, optimizing market participation, and unlocking long-term commercial value across its RNG portfolio and ancillary product lines. This leader will integrate deep market experience, technical fluency, and a relentless focus on commercial excellence to guide the company’s expansion, offtake strategy, and stakeholder engagement.

This individual will be responsible for maximizing average sales price (ASP), originating and closing offtake deals, cultivating regulatory and trade relationships, and providing strategic guidance to internal teams across the enterprise.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead renewable energy ventures enterprise-level strategic planning and market positioning initiatives aligned with long-term growth objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new market opportunities across the RNG value chain and ancillary products (e.g., CO₂, fertilizers, compost).
  • Develop go to market strategies for both existing and emerging product lines, aligning market demand with company capabilities.
  • Translate macroeconomic, policy, and competitive intelligence into actionable commercial and corporate development strategies.
  • Drive the origination, structuring, and execution of RNG offtake agreements and strategic partnerships.
  • Serve as commercial leader for all enterprise sales, with a relentless focus on ASP optimization, margin discipline, and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships across industrials, utilities, traders, and sustainability-driven end users.
  • Manage complex negotiations with financial, technical, and legal stakeholders to drive long-term value.
  • Act as the strategic and commercial lead supporting functions across Operations, Finance, Engineering and Development
  • Partner with project teams to inform technology selection, commercial structuring, and execution frameworks.
  • Serve as the internal center of excellence for pricing strategy, market analysis, and commercial diligence on new assets or ventures.
  • Cross functionally partner with government affairs to shape external narratives, influence policy development and promote RNG as a core component of decarbonization and circular economy strategies.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and contract/warranty negotiations.
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy market and assets, and the ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and trends influencing the continued adoption of renewable energy.
  • Demonstrated success in leading corporate strategy, commercial growth, and strategic partnerships
  • Experience with ancillary RNG products such as CO₂, digestate, compost, or fertilizers strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Required Background:

  • A degree in Business, Engineering or Technical Field required
  • 15 years of progressive commercial leadership in energy, renewables, or related infrastructure sectors.
  • A minimum of 5 year of leadership experience required
