Position is Overtime Eligible!

Shifts Available:
7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (30-Minute Break)

3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (30-Minute Break)

11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (30-Minute Break)

 

All SLPN's working 2nd or 3rd shift will be eligible for $1.00/hr. shift differential.

This position may include a sign-on bonus of $2,000.00, which will be paid out over a two-year period at 6-month intervals (restrictions apply).  Any employee leaving employment with the agency or moving to OPS prior to that timeframe will forfeit any additional bonus payments.  There is no guarantee of payment unless you complete the terms of employment. If you leave prior to completion of the term, you are owed nothing by the Agency, and the recoupment of any previously paid bonus amount will be at the Agency’s discretion.  Returning employees must have left the Department for a period of 12 months or more to be ‎eligible for the sign-on bonus.

The FDVA Nursing State Veterans’ Nursing Homes and Domiciliary are designated employment sites for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program.

• From funds available, the program may make nursing education loan repayments of up to $4,000.00 per year, per nurse enrolled in the program, for a maximum of four years.
• Payment is made at the end of each 12-month enrollment period and made directly to the participant’s lender.
• Enrollment and payment of awards is based on available funds.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Must possess licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Must have current CPR certification.
• Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Successful completion of the due diligence process, to include but not limited to, a Level II Background check and drug screen.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• One (1) year of experience in long-term care / 120 bed skilled nursing facility, with a geriatric population.
