An Experienced or Senior Quality System Specialist will develop and maintain the Oklahoma City

Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers Quality Management System, lead process councils, prepare and present quality metrics, promote continuous improvement, primary support to coordinate the AS9100 audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements. This is a current 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off. Subject to business needs.

  

Position Responsibilities:

Level 3:

  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed
  • Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems
  • Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management
  • Works under general direction

Level 4:

  • Develops Quality budget and cost estimates
  • Leads multi-function, multi-site groups to develop company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed
  • Leads stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability
  • Develops Quality criteria for supplier source selection and a coordinated response for review and approval by senior management
  • Develops scope, schedule, plans and leads hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements, and reports results to management
  • Trains senior management on preparation for third party audits
  • Works under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g. Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)
  • 3+ years of Root Cause and Corrective Action experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Previous work in aerospace, manufacturing, quality or another highly regulated industry
  • Experience working multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficient in the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM)
  • Possess the ability to work on and lead special projects to enhance the Quality Management System across multi functional, multi platform processes and functional

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
