This position will assist in the management of a clinical trial and responsibilities in specific research area. Coordinate the screening of participants, subject enrollment, collection and storage of biological samples and related study documents, and collection of clinical data. Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) filings and inquiries, and assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grant progress reports, and research related presentations. Works closely with the Principal Investigator and study team to identify problems and develop solutions. Implement approved changes to procedures as needed and monitor results. Responsible for study coordination for investigator-initiated studies and patient-oriented clinical research projects.Job Description
The School of Nursing is seeking a clinical research coordinator to work full time on a nutrition research study in the area of childhood obesity. The aim of this study is to assess if energy balance behaviors (diet, physical activity, sleep) can modify behavioral and genetic predispositions to childhood obesity. The applicant is expected to coordinate all aspects of this research protocol.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing, organizing, and maintaining protocol materials and regulatory (IRB) paperwork, completing progress and data safety monitoring reports, recruiting and screening study participants, conducting taste preference assessments, preparing and administering study meals, administering computerized assessments to children, height and weight measurements, coordinating body composition assessments at CHOP, training and overseeing student workers, overseeing and assisting with data management and data entry, and management and ordering of study supplies.
