Your team

UBS Asset Management Americas is seeking an experienced individual to support the asset management activities of our current and growing energy transition portfolio, and to provide technical and development-related due diligence support for new opportunities. This position is for someone inspired by the opportunity to contribute to a growing investment platform in the energy transition field, while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The Asset Manager will be responsible for day-to-day asset activities, including the oversight of field operation and external contractors, contract compliance with our existing and growing energy storage projects, and the maintenance of tax credit monetization and debt vehicles, including accounting, audit, tax, and regular operating reports. The Asset Manager will also be deeply involved in new project investments, such as technical evaluation, due diligence support, production modeling and OpEx considerations, EPC and procurement oversight, and various other transactional activities.

Your expertise

• 8+ years of renewable energy operations with some preferably in utility scale stand alone energy storage
• BA/BS degree, MBA or advanced technical degree a plus, but not required
• Experience with technical areas of renewable energy project development and construction as plus, such as:
• design and engineering, energy generation modeling, equipment procurement, construction management, and asset operations and performance monitoring
• Direct experience in the setup and continued compliance of the utility, NERC, FERC, ISO and REC requirements relating to utility scale energy storage or solar project
• Familiarity with renewable energy transaction structures, including finance, accounting & tax
• Strong project management and organization skills
• Ability to setup and manage a team
• Self-motivated with high level of initiative and accountability
• Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis
• Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and seek out additional responsibility
• Excellent verbal, written, power point and interpersonal communication
• Team player, sense of humor and mission-driven mindset
