Objective
Global Supply Chain Logistics is continuously looking to improve our processes, reduce costs/spend, reduce supply chain/supplier risk, and improve quality. The focus of this role includes working with data across multiple systems, soliciting Supplier and Supplier and Solar data, organizing data, synthesizing data to create BI dashboards, managing third-party partners, leading data integration initiatives and working across teams to help improve quality and cost of transportation and duty expenditure. The incumbent will have the opportunity to lead projects to enhance our global supply chain control tower, information management system(s), and lead supply chain optimization projects (including duty savings, global route planning, sourcing to lowest landed costs, asset tracking, quality improvements, freight audit and cost reduction etc.). The incumbent's initial focus will be to work independently to manage the solicitation of trade and customs data to help reduce duty, qualify suppliers for USCMA, support CTPAT certifications, financial forecasting, and manage carrier/customs invoice payments.
The Business Analyst represents the business in the overall Data Governance Program at the domain level. They are accountable to manage a set of variables or information. The Business Analyst position is responsible for working with Data Owners from multiple product leads on the team, across the enterprise and with outside vendors to resolve problems, implement process improvements, train end users and provide solutions to a wide range of technical problems of moderate complexity. They implement data management procedures, support EDI integrations, analyze data quality, develop database systems, produce tableau and BI reports and create documentation to ensure data integrity, security and maintenance processes run appropriately.
Dimensions
The Business Analyst typically manages multiple assignments simultaneously with urgent deadlines impacting cost, revenue and margin. They are responsible for analyzing multiple sources of the same data for data accuracy, building dashboards, managing digitalization and data flow btw suppliers and carriers and Solar Turbines, as well as defining and maintaining data quality metrics and following up to explain trends, root causes of anomalies and identify opportunities for improvement.
