Your way to Impact

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join a talented team in charge of designing, building, and maintaining a suite of services that power PayPal globally, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology on the AWS cloud, applying best practices in cloud architecture. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with a team of skilled and highly motivated engineers (Backend, iOS, Android, and QA) to deliver a world-class experience for our users.

Your day to day

• You will focus on your learning while helping to deliver high quality solutions to our users.

• You will work as part of an agile team, planning, refining, delivering and inspecting sprint deliveries.

• You work closely with product and design to understand context and vision.

• You will learn and work with your peers in the Backend chapter to make incremental platform improvements and increase learning opportunities for all in a supportive environment.

What you need to succeed

• Programming/Coding: Write clean, maintainable, tested and efficient code in backend programming languages such as Java and Kotlin. 

• API Development: Design, develop, and maintain APIs as a product and/or to support frontend applications. <
