Job Description:
The Director of Projects and Reporting serves as a strategic partner to the University President, managing high-impact institutional projects, overseeing reporting and analytics functions, and ensuring the effective execution of administrative priorities. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional who brings strong project management skills, executive-level communication, and an ability to manage both strategic initiatives and daily operational support.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading cross-functional projects, generating high-level data reports for executive stakeholders, and supporting senior leadership in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Strategic Initiatives
Lead and manage special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the President, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and deadlines.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, track milestones, and report on project progress using project management best practices.
Develop project documentation, timelines, action plans, and post-implementation reviews.
Reporting & Data Analytics
Develop, compile, and present data-driven reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to inform strategic decision-making.
Coordinate with departments to gather and validate data for institutional and presidential reporting needs.
Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities through analytics to support continuous improvement efforts.
Administrative & Operational Support
Manage sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing documents for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain and reconcile expense reports, track spending against budgets, and manage reimbursements and approvals in coordination with the Office of the President.
Executive Support
Serve as a liaison between the President and internal/external stakeholders, including trustees, facilitating communication and follow-up on action items.
Manage the President’s calendar for project-related and reporting activities; coordinate meetings related to project deliverables and reporting reviews.
Support the development of materials and agendas for board meetings, leadership retreats, and strategic planning sessions.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience generating executive-level reports and presenting data in a clear and actionable manner.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project) and reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, or related field.
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
