Overview:
As a Senior Specialist in Business Analytics and Insights at our Company's HHDDA, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing strategic consulting to marketing stakeholders, actively collaborating to shape commercial decisions through data-driven insights. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in designing and delivering scalable solutions and valuable insights that address key business questions aligned with business priorities. The Senior Specialist will also measure the impact of promotional programs and provide recommendations on optimizing future promotional spend through data-driven insights. Strong presentation skills are essential, as the role involves effectively communicating complex methodologies, insights, and results to senior leadership in a concise manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Consulting: Act as a thought partner for marketing stakeholders, collaborating to identify and define business questions and providing data-driven insights. Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in designing and delivering scalable solutions and valuable insights aligned with business priorities. Promotional Program Impact: Measure the impact of promotional programs and provide recommendations on optimizing future promotional spend through data-driven insights. Presentation and Communication: Effectively develop and present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders, creating concise, decision-driven presentations that inform tactical and investment decisions made by US marketing.
Qualifications: Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree is required
MBA or Master’s or Doctorate degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Decision Science, Marketing, Engineering, Public Health preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing strategic insights for senior leaders.
Experience working with pharmaceutical/healthcare claims, personal & non-personal promotional data.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and leadership skills
Demonstrated experience in client and project management
Hands-on analytics across multiple data sources to validate and triangulate insights
Proficiency in database management systems and modeling languages preferred (Python, SAS, SQL)
Preferred: Prior Consulting, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and/or Oncology Experience
Preferred: Prior hands-on experience working with pharma data (NSP, NPA, DDD, Patient level data (eLAAD),EMR/EHR data sets, Lab datasets, prescription datasets (retail/nonretail HCP-Payer-plan product level data), specialty pharmacy)
Familiarity with analytical tools such as SQL, Python, Databricks, and Dataiku
Experience with predictive modeling techniques, marketing mix modeling projects, and return on investment (ROI) analytics.
Working Conditions:
The position may require occasional travel.
The role will be based out of Rahway, NJ or Upper Gwynedd, PA with a minimum 2 days onsite requirement.
