  • This role is responsible to lead the development and implementation of Safety management Systems, coordinate operational investigations, and manage risk registers to ensure timely mitigation efforts. Establish and maintain operational risk management frameworks, facilitate retrospectives for continuous improvement, and provide expert consultation on risk management practices while conducting readiness assessments and operational testing

    • Develop and implement strategies for the effective deployment and management of Safety Management Systems across the organization.

    • Lead and coordinate operational investigations to identify root causes of incidents or near-misses and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

    • Risk Register Management: maintain and update the operational risk register, identifying, assessing, and prioritizing operational risks to ensure timely mitigation efforts.

    • Establish and maintain an operational risk management framework aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

    • Facilitate retrospectives to review operational performance, identify lessons learned, and implement enhancements to operational processes.

    • Provide expert guidance and consultation to internal teams on operational risk management practices, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

    • Review and assess operational documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards

  • Qualifications

    • Proven track record of at least 10 years in transportation safety management or a similar role, preferably in a regulated industry such as aviation, military, or logistics.

    • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to transportation operations, including but not limited to DOT, NHTSA, and OSHA requirements.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights to drive safety improvements.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent safety certification is a plus.
