The Project Management Office (PMO) function is a specialized organizational unit within Oracle's Tax, Treasury & Risk Mgmt. org. PMO focuses on overseeing and managing projects related to tax and treasury functions. The PMO function plays a vital role in overseeing, managing, and optimizing projects related to risk management, taxation, and treasury operations. It ensures that these projects contribute to the company's financial success, compliance, and risk management strategies. It also ensures that the tax and treasury initiatives are executed effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's strategic goals and compliance requirements. PMO scope of responsibilities include a range of variety areas such as Project Governance, Strategic Alignment, Resource Management, Project Planning and Execution, Risk Management, Communication and Reporting, Change Management, Performance Measurement, Continuous Improvement, Technology Integration, and Regulatory Compliance.

We are looking for a talented Manager to join our PMO team in the Oracle Redwood Shores California office in USA to help us manage an expanded portfolio of various project initiatives and provide operational support across various lines of businesses within the Tax & Treasury organization. This PMO manager will also serve as a key link between Oracle IT, Accounting, Legal and our Tax, Treasury, Insurance & Stock Services sub-functions in ensuring that, during our operations, Oracle’s products are constantly evaluated for enhancements to serve business needs and prioritized over 3rd party products as a viable replacement or a valuable complement to current solutions.

We are specifically looking for the following capabilities:

  • Ensure that the PMO portfolio is aligned to strategic objectives, projects are selected, prioritized and resources allocated as per management goals, design and track various performance KPIs.
  • Lead and collaborate with Tax & Treasury stakeholders to transform business processes.
  • Manage a technical portfolio of process improvements and data automation projects.
  • Plan, design, implement, and test new applications for Tax & Treasury, with the ability to tackle large and/or complex datasets. 
  • Test and train users on new processes and develop effective means to govern new systems and processes post go-live. 
  • Ensure that we derive maximum value and performance from these critical external relationships. 
  • Evaluate and Implement best Industry practices, design project management standards, guidelines and set up a project governance structure based on them. 
  • Help assess new and emerging technologies for process simplification and automation to create quantifiable business value.
  • Manage direct reports in gathering, comprehending, and summarizing data essential for mission-critical systems and approval processes.

US: Hiring Range: from $97,400 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
