Payments Compliance Manager

AffiniPay is looking for a Payments Compliance Manager to join our team. This role will be embedded in our Product Management Organization and will work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and our Operations teams. A successful Payments Compliance Manager will help oversee AffiniPay’s relationship with major card brands and key fintech partners to manage the Company’s compliance program and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

An ideal candidate must be deeply familiar with the payments processing landscape and have strong knowledge of interchange pricing models in order to provide guidance on margin optimization and pricing decisions. While this role will be primarily focused on payments, the ideal candidate should be able to expand their knowledge and responsibilities to include broader money movement compliance as the Company expands its fintech offerings beyond payments. 

Your Day to Day:

• Payment industry compliance (including merchant, product, and data security best practices)
• Interchange analysis and performance Including:
• Payments pricing competitive analysis
• Guiding price change implementations
• Maintain knowledge of card brand programs, including brand incentives
• Maintain knowledge of card brand releases
• Manage key vendor relationships for our payments and fintech platforms
• Ensuring merchant compliance policy is up-to-date
• Attestation reporting 

About you

• 5+ years of experience in the payments industry, ideally working as merchant service provider that offers proprietary payments products to merchants
• Thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• Excellent data literacy and analysis skills 
• Experience with vendor and partner management 
• Familiarity with interchange pricing models
• Comfortable presenting and providing guidance to senior leadership 
• Deep experience with excel and payments platform data extraction 

Additional Information:

The pay range for this position is between $90,000 - $135,000 annually. The salary range for performing this role outside of the US / Austin / California may differ. AffiniPay is committed to offering competitive, fair and commensurate compensation and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and education.
