Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and detail-oriented research associate to join our growing team in the development of next generation vaccines. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and apply cutting edge immune and cell-based assays for the in-depth characterization of vaccine responses. The role requires a background in biology/ immunology/ biochemistry, attention to detail, and a high level of organization. The individual hired to this role will also have the opportunity to work across teams and disciplines as part of a matrixed organization, supporting other areas of assay development both for personal growth and development and to achieve project and corporate goals as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a team of scientists and research associates to design and execute well-controlled immune and cell-based assays
• Author methods/standard operating procedures
• Document and analyze data promptly, and communicate results to stakeholders
• Participate on multi-disciplinary teams and communicate results by presentation, or written report
• Maintain a detailed and up-to-date electronic laboratory notebook
• Maintain a detailed inventory of samples and reagents

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field with 2+ years of research experience
• Experience optimizing and running immune and cell-based assays (such as ELISAs, Luminex and/or MSD, ELISPOTs, flow cytometry, pseudo neutralization assays)
• Passionate about generating great data 
• A collaborative team player and good lab citizen
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or knowledge of the following are a plus, but not necessary:
• Additional molecular or cellular biology techniques (cloning, yeast or mammalian cell culture, transfection, qPCR)
• Next generation sequencing
