About the role

Certified Nursing Assistant – Neurovascular Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.  This posting represents a per diem/on-call, night shift position. Hours offered are 7pm-7:30am including weekends.  

We are an accredited comprehensive stroke center and epilepsy unit.  This specialized unit cares for post-operative neurosurgery and EMU patients.  Patients on this unit may have received a hyperacute intervention such as endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) or thrombolysis.  Stroke patients generally stay in the hospital for approximately five to seven days. During their stay, the interprofessional stroke team works collaboratively to provide patient and family-centered and evidence-based stroke care. 

Extra Incentives:

  • Night shift differential – $4.00 p/hr    

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training and Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA course    Or equivalent educ/experience
  • CNA coursework: Grandfathered to CNA per OSBN requirements.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License 
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
