About our client
For over 30 years, our client has specialized in developing and providing advanced technologies related to electromagnetic and vibration management. 

Deliverables

  • Architecting mechanical analysis and components design to maximize performance, reliability, maintainability, and safety
  • Developing detailed mechanical models to provide design feedback and component requirements
  • Multiphysics analysis including electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical fields
  • Analysis of simulation and measurement results to verify models
  • Evaluating mechanical effects on electromechanical and thermal performance
  • Guiding suppliers to execute testing
  • Reviewing and analyzing data 
  • Experience with mechanical/structures assembly engineering

About you

  • Proficiency in design and analysis of mechanical systems and components for rotational machines
  • Proficiency in Multiphysics analysis techniques 
  • Proficiency modeling in ANSYS modeling and analysis
  • Experience with the development of prototype systems and sub-systems, including design, analysis, integration, and test
  • Experience with technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design
  • Experience with validating and verifying mechanical requirements
  • Proficiency in electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical properties and failure modes of copper, aluminum, ceramics, polymers, metals, adhesives, laminated iron and composite
  • M.S. or PhD in Mechanical Engineering

Nice to have

  • Experience designing stress and vibration analysis of electrical machines
  • Experience with structural integration manufacturing processes
  • SolidWorks modeling experience
