Manager, Site EHS

Summary:  

 The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for providing technical management and program leadership to ensure full compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements and local, state and federal laws, standards, professional codes and internal EHS requirements. The EHS Manager will provide leadership to develop and implement initiatives and processes to establish and maintain a healthy, safe, compliant, and accident-free work environment.  They lead the implementation and direction of site-wide EHS initiatives such as corporate and site-specific EHS goals, training, incident investigation, auditing and performance evaluation for the site. Secures engagement and buy-in among site employees and leadership. This position will also drive a sustainable environmentally compliant and solution driven operation. This position is also one of the key members participating in the site’s EHS Leadership Teams including Emergency Response and applicable safety committees.   
 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:  

• Develop, implement, and manage plans to train managers, supervisors and employees in worksite safety practices, incident prevention, and EHSMS management.  

• Ensure adherance with employee occupational health and safety and environmental laws, rules and regulations, applicable company policies and procedures
