**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**
PAY: $100,000 - $170,000
JOB SUMMARY: The certified Electrician will perform a variety of electrical trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the production, distribution, or utilization of electrical energy. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution. Ensure proper power for the interior workspaces and computer rooms in the BGIF. Shall maintain external equipment (i.e. backup diesel generators, satellite dishes, other external hardware) in BGIF controlled space external to the facility. Shall maintain operation and cleanliness of the BGIF entry area including exterior entry steps and ramp, handrails, doors and windows, and outside break area adjacent to BGIF entry ramp. Location: Boulder, CO.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Conducts inspections and assessments of electrical gear, breaker panels, transformers, motor control centers, motors and other similar electrical equipment, reporting those conditions to the Supervisor and performing the electrical repair work requests issued by the Supervisor.
- Utilize thermography imaging to investigate and identify facility and electrical hot spots, identify electrical distribution problems.
- Utilize both off-line and on-line motor analysis systems to test and provide reports on motors; Correct electrical problems identified by the PM; and Support motor repair shop.
- Performs diagnoses and inspection of malfunctioning systems, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment such as, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, and other transmission equipment.
- Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
- Utilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written instructions.
- Responsible for completing daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used and hours worked on each assigned work order.
- Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
- Adheres to proper security practices as applicable.
- Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.
- Complies with applicable federal, state, USSF and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
- Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
- Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 8 years of relevant experience.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma. Certified electrician.
SECURITY CLEARRANCE: Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
